We feature stories under 1000 words.
We're open during the final seven days of each academic month, with the exceptions of November and December. So: the final weeks of August, September, October, January, February, and March. In November, we're open from the 8th through the 14th. We're not open in December. If we hit our cap with Submittable, submissions will close before the end of the submission period.
Writers may send one or two stories in a single document. (If you have micros -- each story < 250 words -- you can send up to five.)
If you need to withdraw a story from a group, open the submission on Submittable and send us a message via the messages tab.
We generally can't respond to queries about submission status. Please follow Submittable for information relating to submission status.
We ask that you wait for a response to each submission before submitting again.
As an online journal with an accessible archive, Wigleaf is 'ever-live,' meaning that all of our authors represent us, and vice versa, in a perpetual way. By policy, we de-platform, without public comment, authors who engage in or promote hate speech and/or bigotry.
All rights revert to author upon publication. Simultaneous submissions are fine.

Send one or two stories in a single attachment. If you're trying us with micros (each story < 250 words), you can send up to five.
If you need to withdraw a story from a group, send a message (not note) via your submission here on the Submittable platform.
Impossible to say what we're looking for. But if you read us, you have an idea....
